The fall of Troy

After the Trojans’ most recent performance against Arizona, can we put to rest the incessant “maybe the biggest upset in college football ever” phrase with regard to the Stanford victory? Clearly USC is at best a good team this year, not the unstoppable force the pundits decreed before the season started. Please put the hyperbole to rest with J.D. Booty’s Heisman campaign.

Charlie Weis needs a win against USC if he hopes to save his job. It wouldn’t surprise me to see the exhumed corpse of George Gipp dressed in uniform and sitting on the Irish bench Saturday.
