IT was very eclectic for The Times to have an article on Tom Schnabel, Chris Douridas and Nic Harcourt, the creative geniuses behind KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic” [“Marking 30 Years of Eclecticism,” by Steve Hochman, Aug. 28]. Years ago, I remember listening one morning and being mesmerized as they looped a classical symphony with a jazz track and songs from Elvis Costello and Janet Jackson.
As most radio stations become more generic and devoid of any creativity, “MBE” continues to play an immense and diverse selection of original and unadulterated talent. Which reminds me of a famous line in the movie “Educating Rita”: “There are other songs to sing.”
