Murdoch’s pay is put at $32.1 million

News Corp., the media giant that reported a 48% profit increase for fiscal 2007, paid Chairman Rupert Murdoch $32.1 million during the period.
Murdoch’s compensation for the year ended June 30 included $8.1 million in salary and $15.8 million in cash bonuses, News Corp. said in a regulatory filing. He also received stock awards and other compensation.
News Corp. almost doubled Murdoch’s base pay to match that of Chief Operating Officer Peter Chernin.
