Elizabeth Inglis, 94, an actress who appeared in the 1940 William Wyler film noir “The Letter” using the stage name Elizabeth Earl, died in her sleep Aug. 25 at her home in Santa Barbara. The wife of NBC TV executive Pat Weaver and the mother of actress Sigourney Weaver, she was born Desiree Mary Lucy Hawkins in 1913 in Colchester, England.
