SALUTING L.A.’S MOVIE HOUSES
The glamorous antithesis to the multiplexes of today, L.A.’s vast movie palaces (pictured: Los Angeles Theater) will be the stars of a slide show and lecture about their history (a woman once sued the Ritz Theatre after a lion sneezed on her). Author and historian Marc Wanamaker leads a show that ends with a book signing for “Theatres In Los Angeles,” which he co-wrote with Suzanne Tarbell Cooper and Amy Ronnebeck Hall. 2 p.m. Sat., Egyptian Theatre. $5-10. www.adsla.org
