KICKIN’ IT IN K-TOWN

Heard any good Korean rappers lately? If not, blame your favorite radio station, not the scene. There is talent aplenty in L.A. and beyond in the Asian rap arena, and the annual Asian Hip-Hop Summit showcases it. Now in its sixth year, the festival is bigger than ever, with names like 21-year-old Koreatown local Dumbfounded and Oakland’s Denizen Kane on the bill. The first night of the fest takes place at the Airliner club; the second night at the Summit Theater (668 S. Catalina St.), with nine hip-hop dance teams also performing Saturday. 8 p.m. Fri., the Airliner. $15. (323) 221-0771. Also 7 p.m. Sat., Summit Theater. $7. www.asiatic empire.org
