A LITTLE MORE ‘ANYTHING’

Originally set to close Saturday night, “Anything,” Tim McNeil’s offbeat comedy-drama about a suicidal Southern widower’s unlikely romance with a drug-addicted transvestite hooker, has been extended to Feb. 2. So you have a little more time to catch what Times reviewer F. Kathleen Foley calls “a gem-like staging” with a “terrific cast” including McNeil (pictured, top) as the bereaved Southerner and “the remarkable Louis Jacobs (also in photo) as a desperate drag queen redeemed by unexpected tenderness.” 8 p.m. Fri.-Sat., 7 p.m. Sun.; ends Feb. 2. Lillian Theatre, 1078 N. Lillian Way, Hollywood. $25. (323) 960-4410; elephantstageworks .com
