Re “Obama parries fresh attacks on readiness,” Oct. 23
Joe Biden’s comment that an Obama national security team and Pentagon would certainly be tested with some form of world crisis, whether intended or not, was a stroke of genius.
It doesn’t cast doubt on Barack Obama; instead, what this does is put those who might perpetuate such a crisis on notice that we will be ready for it, and we will certainly exact a terrible price on those who might believe that there would be anything less than a prepared America ready to protect its interests. Such a statement by Biden will lead to greater preparation and take away an element of surprise so vital to those who might seek to test America.
