Husband agrees to plea deal

The husband of a suspended Las Vegas judge took a plea deal and agreed to serve three to 10 years in state prison for attacking and seriously injuring her with a frying pan.
Edward Halverson, 49, entered the equivalent of a no-contest plea to a single felony.
Elizabeth Halverson, 50, was suspended as Clark County district court judge in 2007 after she was accused of mishandling trials, mistreating staff, falling asleep on the bench and having her husband sworn in to ask if he’d completed his household chores.
