Friday: Will and Kate will arrive at Los Angeles International Airport in the late afternoon after spending more than a week touring Canada. They will be greeted at LAX by Gov. Jerry Brown and his wife, Anne Gust Brown, as well as by Sir Nigel Sheinwald, the British ambassador to the United States. They will then attend a reception at the consul-general’s residence in Hancock Park, where they will meet with California political leaders, including Brown.
Saturday: The duke and duchess will head to Carpinteria, where William will compete in a charity polo match at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club. They will then attend the inaugural “BAFTA Brits to Watch” event at the historic Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
Sunday: The couple will spend the morning at a private event supporting Tusk USA, a group that focuses on conservation in Africa and of which the duke is the royal patron. They will visit Inner-City Arts, an outreach program for children on downtown’s skid row, and then Sony Studios in Culver City, where they will attend a job fair for veterans.
