Chris Kattan closes out of Hollywood Hills

Actor and comedian Chris Kattan has parted ways with his home in the Hollywood Hills, selling the park-like property for $1.55 million.

The bungalow-style residence, built in 1924, sits among mature trees and verdant gardens with a main home, a guest house, tiered patios and a pool. Warm interiors are characterized by hardwood flooring, decorative molding and a Batchelder fireplace.

A den, a living room, a formal dining room, three bedrooms and 3.75 baths are found within the 2,496 square feet of living space. The master suite features a soaking tub set beneath a large bay window.

Found on a lower tier of the property, a two-story guest house overlooks the pool through distinctive folding windows.

The residence was previously owned by actor Danny DeVito, who married Rhea Perlman in a ceremony on the property in 1982, according to The Times.

Kattan, 43, is known for his trademark characters on “Saturday Night Live,” appearing on the show from 1996 to 2003. “A Night at the Roxbury” (1998), “Corky Romano” (2001) and “Undercover Brother” (2002) are among his notable film credits.

The actor had asked as much as $1.998 million for the home in January. Records show that he paid $1.07 million for the property in September 2001.

Sharona Alperin of Sotheby’s International Realty listed the home on behalf of Kattan. Timothy Enright of The Enright Company represented the buyer in the sale, which closed on July 29.
