Musician David A. Stewart of Eurythmics fame has listed a house in Toluca Lake for sale at $4.499 million.
Toluca Lake’s original architect, Park French, once called the 1929 Spanish-style residence home. Stained-glass windows, a wrought-iron staircase and a wood-burning fireplace in the living room are among the classic details.
Set on a quarter-acre, the 5,426-square-foot house features a sound-proof media room, a library, a breakfast room, four bedrooms, a steam room, four bathrooms and a powder room.
A heated swimming pool and a dog run complete the grounds.
Stewart, 62, has worked with such artists as Stevie Nicks, the Tourists and Shakespears Sister. His most recent album is “Lucky Numbers” (2013).
The singer-songwriter-guitarist-producer bought the property in 2005 for $3.815 million and purchased another Toluca Lake home earlier this year for $5.55 million. Variety spotted the for-sale listing.
Craig Strong of John Aaroe Group is the real estate agent.
