Eric Davis, the retired NFL defensive back who spent six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, has listed his home near Santa Cruz for sale at $3.795 million.
The gated Mediterranean-style estate, built in 2003, occupies a 2.55-acre promontory in Soquel with sprawling views of Monterey Bay. Lined in limestone, the two-story floor plan includes a formal dining room, a living room, a chef’s kitchen, four bedrooms, four fireplaces and five bathrooms in 6,804 square feet of living space.
Features include a stately office with dark wood paneling and coffered ceilings and a recreation room that prominently displays Davis’ personal memorabilia. The master bathroom comes complete with a steam shower and soaking tub.
Outdoors, the relaxed grounds include a central courtyard with a fountain, a patio and a barbecue area.
Davis, 46, played 13 seasons with the 49ers, Panthers, Broncos and Lions, earning three All-Pro nods and winning a championship with San Francisco in 1994. He currently co-hosts “NFL AM” on the NFL Network.
The cornerback paid $3.5 million for the home in June 2005, according to public records. Sally Lyng of David Lyng & Associates is the listing agent.
