Horton Foote’s Tony-winning drama “The Trip to Bountiful” has once again extended its Broadway run.
The production, which opened April 23 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, previously extended its 14-week run through Sept. 1, and will now close Oct. 9.
The added dates could mean an early exit for Condola Rashad, who earned an Tony nomination for her role as Thelma.

Rashad is set to star opposite Orlando Bloom in “Romeo and Juliet,” which begins previews Aug. 24 and marks Bloom’s Broadway debut.
“The Trip to Bountiful” was nominated for four Tonys and earned Cicely Tyson the award for lead actress. The production also stars Oscar-winner Cuba Gooding Jr. and Grammy-nominee Vanessa Williams.
