Jessica Lea Mayfield At 21 years of age, the singer-songwriter is already a veteran of the stage and the studio, having grown up as part of a family bluegrass group and often collaborating with Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys. COMEDY
Trampoline Hall Actors Ezra Buzzington (“Fight Club” and “Me, Myself & Irene”) and Busy Philipps (“Freaks and Geeks,” “Cougar Town”) team up for an evening of comedic discussion about Misha Glouberman and Sheila Heti’s highly unorthodox new self-help book, “The Chairs Are Where the People Go.” Largo at the Coronet, 366 N. La Cienega Blvd., West Hollywood. 8:30 p.m. $25-$30. (310) 855-0350. https://www.largo-la.com.
Eddie Izzard The British comedian bring his long-winded (to say the least) style of standup comedy to the sylvan setting of the Bowl. Few targets are spared, but the pleasures remain in his keen wit and the paradox of his finely honed shambolic style. Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N. Highland Ave., L.A. 8 p.m. $25-$90. hollywoodbowl.com.
