Cat Power melts down for children on Funny or Die

Chan Marshall, the singer-songwriter who performs as Cat Power, has a longtime reputation for her volatile stage presence.
She is also quite self-aware about this, as a new video for the comedy skit site Funny or Die proves.
In the clip, Marshall performs nursery rhymes for an elementary school class and has, well, some problems. We won’t give them away, but it will be hard for any curmudgeonly reviewer to ever argue that Marshall doesn’t have a razor-sharp sense of humor about her own stereotypes.
But to the kid who laments “This lady makes me sad” after Marshall tells the class that “Life is hard, and it gets worse and worse,” we have an excellent way to wallow in your new disillusionment about the fleeting nature of joy and hope: Save your allowance and buy “Moon Pix.”
