The Briefcase The controversial unscripted series ends its season with this new episode. 8 p.m. CBS
Defiance In this new episode, Nolan and Amanda (Grant Bowler, Julie Benz) are captured while digging up a weapons cache, and Berlin (Anna Hopkins) sees a chance for revenge against Irisa (Stephanie Leonidas) while investigating a bombing. 8 p.m. Syfy
Killjoys What is expected to be a straightforward hostage exchange takes a deadly turn when a vengeful warlord strands the Killjoys in a bombed-out, restricted city wasteland. Aaron Ashmore, Hannah John-Kamen and Luke Macfarlane star in the new episode. 9 p.m. Syfy

Teen Beach 2 This new sequel to the 2013 musical comedy “Teen Beach Movie” picks up the action at the close of summer as the relationship between laid-back Brady (Ross Lynch) and bookworm Mack (Maia Mitchell) seems headed for a wipeout when they get a surprise visit from two characters from the 1960s movie musical “Wet Side Story” (Grace Phipps, Garrett Clayton). Chrissie Fit, Jessica Lee Keller and John DeLuca also star. 8 p.m. Disney
Dennis Rodman’s Big Bang in Pyongyang Retired professional basketball player Dennis Rodman takes a team of former NBA stars to North Korea, visiting his friend dictator Kim Jong-un and hoping to improve international relations. 9 p.m. Showtime
