Kurt Sutter issues apology for possible ‘Sons of Anarchy’ spoilers

Kurt Sutter is undergoing what he calls “a storyteller’s worst nightmare” this week just days before the series finale of his show “Sons of Anarchy” is set to air Sunday.
The source of Sutter’s nightmare is the book “Sons of Anarchy: The Official Collector’s Edition,” which contains definitive information about all seven seasons of Sutter’s biker gang drama, including the finale.
Unfortunately, the book, which has details of who lives and who dies at series’ end, was sent out earlier than expected by distributors to book outlets. The original plan, according to Sutter, was to have the book available following the final episode. Now, the end of the story is flying around in the ether for anyone who wants to get spoiled.
The blunt-talking Sutter took to Twitter on Friday to issue an expletive-laden personal apology to his fans. And while he had less than kind words for unnamed people behind the foul-up, he placed blame primarily on himself.
“I ask that you not share your wrath or pain or opinion in social media so as to not spoil the experience of others,” Sutter wrote.
Though his apology included references to the decapitation of certain parties involved in the book’s early distribution, he ended on a much more conciliatory tone, urging fans to still tune in.
“It plays much better than it reads,” he wrote.
Fans will need to tread lightly online for the next few days.
