Major Crimes In the summer finale, the disappearances of several girls from a popular nightclub ratchets up tensions in the department and ignites a turf war between the Major Crimes Division and the Special Operations Bureau. Mary McDonnell and Jon Tenney star, and Laurie Holden, Colin Ferguson and Ever Carradine guest star. 9 p.m. TNT
Under the Dome Barbie (Mike Vogel) goes way under the dome through the tunnel that literally takes him to another level as he seeks Sam (Eddie Cahill) in this new episode. Brett Cullen guest stars, and Rachelle Lefevre and Dean Norris also star in this new episode. 10 p.m. CBS
Mistresses The character played by guest star Jason Gray-Stanford — billed as “Creepy Guy” in the credits — is revealed as April’s (Rochelle Aytes) stalker in this new episode. Yunjim Kim, Catherine Haena Kim, Brett Tucker, Jes Macallan and Justin Hartley also star. 10 p.m. ABC
Murder in the First Terry and Hildy (Taye Diggs, Kathleen Robertson) find their workday completely dominated by the investigation into the Kevin Neyers murder case, as they discover a series of startling secrets while they near the solution in the season finale. 10 p.m. TNT
The Approval Matrix The topic for the premiere of this series is “What makes this the golden age of television?” Panelists include Matt Roush, Whitney Cummings, Willie Geist and Julie Klauser. 11 p.m. Sundance

Shark Week Jeff Kurr examines two fatal shark attacks and tries to determine if the same shark was responsible for both attacks in the first of three new Discovery Channel specials, 8 p.m. That’s followed by a visit to the Pacific island of Guadalupe, where large great white sharks hunt, in “Jaws Strikes Back,” 9 p.m. At 10 p.m., in “Monster Hammerhead,” scientists and fishermen investigate reports of a 20-foot hammerhead shark.
