Directed by Mike Nichols TCM is paying tribute to the director with screenings of three of his best films. Up first, at 5 p.m., Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in the 1966 drama “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” At 7:30 it’s Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft in the 1967 comedy “The Graduate.” That’s followed at 9:30 by the 1971 drama “Carnal Knowledge” starring Jack Nicholson.

Debbie Macomber’s Mr. Miracle Rob Morrow also plays an inexperienced yet determined guardian angel in this new TV fantasy, where he’s helping an insecure young woman (Britt Irvin) find the confidence to change her life for the better before Christmas Day. 8 p.m. Hallmark

Wishin’ and Hopin’ In 1964 Connecticut, a substitute teacher (Molly Ringwald) tries to help an awkward fifth-grader (Wyatt Ralff) — whose claim to fame is being former Mouseketeer Annette Funicello’s cousin — have a memorable Christmas in this adaptation of Wally Lamb’s novel. 8 p.m. Lifetime
