Google now lets you order food delivery, straight from search results

Google recently launched a new food delivery option through its search results.
The next time you search for a nearby restaurant through Google on your phone, there may be an option to “place an order” in the search results next to the icon of a truck.
Once you tap this option, you’re then instructed to choose a delivery service and will then taken to your chosen service’s website to complete your order.
According to a Google blog post, the company is using six available food delivery services in the U.S., including Grubhub, Eat24, Seamless, Delivery.com, MyPizza.com and BeyondMenu. And they’re looking to add more in the future.
Only restaurants that work with one of these six delivery services will have the option to order through Google search.
If you’re in downtown, you can get burgers from Plan Check or tacos from Cerveteca DTLA. Santa Monica residents can order vegan wraps delivered from Kye’s and in Silver Lake, order from the Baklava Factory.
