Twitter #Weekendeats highlights: Breakfast of champions
- Share via
We are repeatedly told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Sure a yogurt or apple on the go works when you’re in a pinch, but there’s nothing like sitting down to a proper breakfast with the paper and time to spare. During Monday morning’s #Weekendeats chat on Twitter, participants shared what they made and ate for breakfast over the weekend. Here are the highlights:
For the pancake and waffle lovers, Carrie Fehr from the blog Kitchen Garden shared her banana pancakes with maple caramel sauce, Patricia Conte from the blog AZGrabaPlate.com shared her lemon ricotta pancakes with pomegranate syrup, Angela Matta made a German pancake with syrup and powdered sugar and Brooks Walker from the blog CakeWalkr.com made wholegrain waffles with spiced apple butter folded right in.
Lindsay William-Ross visited the Donut Man for the first time and shared this picture of the doughnut case, full of the day’s offerings, while Julie Lee shared a photo of her kabocha baked doughnuts.
The most impressive of the bunch was a photo Domenica, from DomenicaCooks.com, shared of a bowl of pho her 14-year-old son made from scratch.
Please join in by tweeting your #Weekendeats at us Monday morning @latimesfood and share your photos with us in our “Weekend Eats” gallery. We’ll feature some of the photos here on Daily Dish, so be sure to check back for more #Weekendeats and #Foodporn throughout the week.
Hope to see everyone next Monday morning on Twitter! It’s sure to be a drool-worthy good time.
