When it’s hotter than Hell’s hinges in Las Vegas, nothing tastes quite so good as ice cream. But even with an innocent little frozen dessert, Sin City likes to kick it up a couple of notches. Give a try to these cool and out-of-the-ordinary confections.

Better bring your I.D. The sundaes and floats here are spiked with Kahlua, Jack Daniels, Bacardi Silver Rum and other high-octane liquids. “Grandma’s Treat” packs a punch with Maker’s Mark bourbon, caramel syrup and vanilla ice cream.

From the annals of “sounds weird, tastes good” comes this unlikely concoction — lobster ice cream. Chunks of tasty Maine lobster tucked into creamy vanilla ice cream. Buttery, delicious and totally decadent.

It’s a patriotic party in your mouth. July 4 to July 8, the menu at this Caesars Palace pub features a flag-waver’s special: the “All-American Pop Rock Sundae.” Strawberries, vanilla ice cream and blue-bubble-gum ice cream, topped with fizzy Pop Rocks candy.
