CHP motorcycle officer injured in collision with FedEx van

A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer was injured Monday in an apparent collision with a FedEx van, officials said.
CHP officials said they did not know the extent of the officer’s injuries suffered in the collision at Santa Monica Boulevard and Century Park East. The crash occurred about 9:48 a.m.
Paramedics rushed the officer, who was not identified, to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Los Angeles and Beverly Hills police responded to investigate the crash, which temporarily closed the intersection.
