One man was killed and three other people were critically injured in a car crash in Diamond Bar early Sunday that forced the shutdown of the eastbound 60 Freeway for three hours, authorities said.
The crash involving at least two vehicles occurred about 4:30 a.m. on the freeway just east of Fairway Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A man described only as between 25 and 30 years old was pronounced dead at the scene, said CHP officer Monica Posada.
Three people were critically injured, and two people had minor injuries, said Art Marrujo, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Investigators at the scene are still trying to determine the exact cause of the crash, Posada said.
All lanes on the eastbound 60 were closed until about 7:50 a.m. Sunday, Posada said.
