Man runs over, kills wife while backing out of driveway

An 80-year-old man accidentally killed his wife Monday while reversing his car out of his driveway, authorities said.
The woman, also 80, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 1 p.m. in the 10800 block of Wrightwood Lane in Studio City, Los Angeles police Officer Jane Kim said.
A preliminary investigation by the LAPD has indicated the woman’s death was accidental, but Kim said the probe is ongoing.
The couple’s identity was not released.
