A grass fire scorched about two acres Tuesday evening on a hillside near the campus of Occidental College, authorities said.
The fire was first reported in the 4600 block of Townsend Avenue about 6:15 p.m., said Erik Scott, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
About 75 firefighters put out the blaze in less than an hour, Scott said. No structures were damaged.
Investigators did not identify what caused the fire.
