A man shot and killed at a bus stop in Koreatown early Sunday morning has been identified as Bryan Martinez Rubio, 28, authorities said.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office, which released his identity, said his city of residence was unknown.
Rubio was sitting on a bus bench on the northwest corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue when two men ran toward him and shot him at 1:06 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Eyewitnesses told police that the two men then ran to a black pickup truck and drove west on Wilshire.
The Los Angeles Fire Department found Rubio dead at the scene.
Police do not have a motive for the shooting, LAPD Officer Drake Madison said.
According to The Times’ Homicide Report database, there have been six fatal shootings in Koreatown this year.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the LAPD’s Olympic station at (213) 382-9102.
