Woman dies after being stabbed in San Fernando

A woman died after she was stabbed in San Fernando, authorities said Thursday night.
The attack was reported around 3:30 p.m. in 300 block of Harps Street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. The victim was pronounced dead at a hospital. His name and age were not released.
Homicide detectives from the Sheriff’s Department were assisting the San Fernando Police Department in the investigation. No other details were immediately available.
Since January 2007, at least five other homicides have been reported in San Fernando, according to The Times’ Homicide Report database.
