Divers search for second victim in fatal boat crash near San Diego

Reporting from San Diego — Divers are scheduled to resume recovery efforts Friday morning for a possible second victim in a fatal collision Thursday night of two boats at the El Capitan Reservoir owned by the city of San Diego.
Four people were tossed into the water after the boats collided shortly after 7 p.m., officials said.
Two of the four were quickly rescued and taken to local hospitals, where they were listed in good condition. The lifeless body of a 21-year-old man was found, but a 20-year-old man, now presumed dead, could not be located.
El Capitan, which is near Alpine about 30 miles northeast of downtown San Diego, provides drinking water for the city. It is also a popular fishing site and is stocked with fish, including a Florida-strain big-mouth bass.
The fatal boat collision is being investigated by San Diego police.
