A personal passion

San Francisco-based professional photographer Travis Jensen calls street photography is his true passion. When on a commercial assignment, he tries to find opportunities to capture what he calls “personal use snaps”.
The image below, shot with a 16-35mm lens, is one of those moments.
In L.A. last month, he met a local photographer while roaming downtown. The two hit it off, walked the streets and eventually found themselves on skid row.
“This gentleman was reluctant to let me take his picture at first, understandably,” Jensen said. “But after chatting with him for several minutes, he eventually agreed. I showed him the photo afterwards, and he nodded his head in approval.”
