Of all the photography spots in Venice, the handball courts carry a particular allure for David Ingraham.
The geometry of the concrete structures, the shadows, the potential for that “decisive-moment action shot.”
“On this particular afternoon, I kept coming back to this location and shot dozens of images from various angles,” Ingraham said. “Out of the two dozen or so taken from this angle, this was the one where all the elements fell perfectly into place.”
Ingraham used an iPhone 4S to make the image.
