To the editor: Define “old.” When I was a kid I couldn’t imagine anybody being as old as 60. (I’ll be 90 next year.) But I do remember one time my dad started telling a story beginning, “I met this old guy on Main Street — he must’ve been 60 — and ... .” My mom burst out laughing. My dad was 59.
