Youth Employment Services of the Harbor Area is seeking volunteers for
its 28th annual Roman Feast and Charity Auction, which will honor
prominent Newport-Mesa residents, on April 26.
The event planning committee meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays
at the agency’s office, 114 E. 19th St., Costa Mesa. Tacos are served at
the meetings, courtesy of Taco Mesa.
Youth Employment Services is a nonprofit organization that helps to
find entry-level jobs for 14- to 22-year-olds so they can develop the
skills needed for future employment.
“The funds we raise all go toward and benefit the youth, which helps
them get the skills they need,” said volunteer Christine Carr, who is
coordinating the benefit.
