NMPC - CdM Mets take two over weekend

The Mets used some powerful offense to win two games last weekend

in Newport-Mesa Pony Conference (ages 13-14) action.

After an 11-1 win over the Newport Harbor Yankees Saturday, the Mets

outlasted the CdM Reds, 15-11, Sunday.

In the win over the Yankees, Wes Presson had four RBIs, while Matt

Silva and Blake Allred each went 3 for 4.

Blaine Gribble and Blake Mathews also came through with big hits for

the Mets.

In Sunday’s win, Silva and Gribble each hit a two-run home run in the

first inning, while Presson pitched four strong innings.

The Reds were led by Michael Orozco, who went 2 for 4 with two runs

scored, Brett Crowley (two doubles) and Conner Ferguson (a triple, three

RBIs).
