WEATHER FORECAST
Just like Tuesday, most of those morning clouds will dissipate, making
for yet another marvelous day. It’ll be a bit cooler with a high of about
76, but still slap on some sunscreen as the UV index will strike 8 for
about three hours this afternoon.
Also much like Tuesday, the evening and night will continue to be
beautiful and the low will be about 64 degrees. Expect much of the same
Thursday. Take the kids out before they have to return to school.
BOATING FORECAST
After patchy fog and light winds in the morning, the western winds
will become 10 to 15 knots, which will create the typical 2-foot waves
and a western swell of 3 feet in the harbor. The same will occur into the
evening and night, though the winds will subside a bit and areas of fog
will develop.
Out farther, the northwestern winds will blow 10 to 20 knots in the
morning and increase to 15 to 25 knots in the afternoon. Waves of 2 to 4
feet will be generated along with a southwest swell of 6 feet. Expect the
winds to stay pretty steady into the night, with waves and swell doing
the same. Areas of fog will roll in overnight.
SURF
It appears there’s no end in sight to those knee- to waist-high waves
in Newport Beach. The occasional 4-footers will roll in here and there,
but expect a lot of weak surf.
