WEATHER FORECAST
It won’t be quite as beautiful as Tuesday, but it’ll be a lot less
windy. At the same time, though, it’ll actually be cooler. Highs today
will be in the low 60s in Newport-Mesa.
Clouds will roll in overnight, during which temperatures will dip into
the mid-40s. But those clouds aim to make Thursday a bit wet, so get
those raincoats back out of the closet. The good news is there’s no snow
in the forecast, so go sing in that rain.

BOATING FORECAST
The northeasterly winds will blow about 20 knots in the harbor this
afternoon, with waves of about 3 feet and a west swell of 3 feet. The
winds will become light into the night, and the swell will pick up to 4

Out farther, the northeasterly winds will blow light today at 10
knots, quite the departure from Tuesday’s high winds. This evening, winds
will become southerly and blow 10 to 15 knots, with waves of about 2 feet
and a northwest swell of 7 feet.
SURF
Don’t even bother hitting the beaches today as waves in the knee- to
waist-high range are expected. Thursday will be much of the same, though
things should pick up Friday.
