BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Garden Grove 70, Estancia 47
CYPRESS — Sophomore Kohl Jones scored a season-high 19 points for the Eagles in the third-place game of the Oxford Academy Tournament Friday.
Estancia junior Tim Neumann added 13 points and earned all-tournament honors. Jones also hit two three-pointers. Senior Barry Fryslie scored seven points for the Eagles (5-6), while juniors Ryan Knapp (three points), Jerome Young (two), Troy McClanahan (two) and Bryan Perez (one) also contributed.
Estancia faces Fullerton in a pool-play game of its Coast Classic Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

DOWNEY — Junior Tierney Danner scored a game-high 25 points for the Lightning in their third-place game against the Eagles of Santa Ana in the Calvary Chapel of Downey Tournament Friday.
Danner was also named to the all-tournament team. Junior Stephanie Garrison scored 14 points for Sage Hill (6-5), while senior point guard Katie McKeon added eight points before fouling out midway through the overtime period.
Amanda Souter, who also received all-tournament honors, scored 24 points to lead Calvary Chapel.
The Lightning will play host to Corona del Mar Friday at 7 p.m.

Senior Abby Koff and sophomore Erika Soto scored seven points each for Estancia (1-10)
The Eagles will begin play in the Garden Grove Tournament against Orange High Wednesday at 3 p.m.

DOWNEY — The Sea Kings won by forfeit when their opponent failed to show up in the consolation finale of the Calvary Chapel Downey Tournament Friday.
In CdM’s 36-30 pool-play loss to the tournament hosts Thursday, Susan Moheimani had 11 points and Brittany Rhyme added nine.
CdM is now 6-9.
GIRLS’ SOCCER

DANVILLE — Sophomore Hayley Raguse connected from the top of the 18-yard box to give the Sea Kings their first score in the 30th minute of Friday night’s game in the Tri-Valley Invitational.
Senior forward Lexi Henson shot a cross to Alex Ryneck in the 70th minute for the second goal as the Sea Kings advanced in the tournament.
Friday morning, the Sea Kings defeated College Park, 2-0, and Thursday night, they tied Scotts Valley, 0-0.
Today, CdM (7-3-2) will play Amador Valley in the third-place game.
