Newport developer named to building hall of fame
John Martin, the principal of Martin & Associates in Newport Beach, is set to be inducted this year into the California Homebuilding Foundation Hall of Fame.
The foundation, which has inducted members to its Hall of Fame for 24 years, announced eight new members this month. The class of 2008 will be honored at an awards dinner June 24 in San Francisco.
Martin’s company provides assistance for the development of residential neighborhoods and market-planned communities, including ones overseen by the Irvine Co. Martin has also served as a lecturer at UCI and elsewhere.
“All eight of this year’s inductees are truly giants in the industry, people who have helped thousands of California families attain the American dream of homeownership, while giving selflessly to make their communities a better place to live,†said Wes Keusder, the chairman of the California Homebuilding Foundation, in a release.
