Pop DJ and Paris expected

Even if Paris Hilton doesn’t end up making a rumored appearance at Sutra Lounge tonight, boyfriend and guest DJ Benji Madden will have a “hot” gift bag of goodies from RedLotusClothing to take home to his celebrity heartthrob.

Hilton and Madden are the latest Hollywood hot couple, with sightings reported all over town since Madden announced his split from fiancée Sophie Monk several weeks ago.

Madden, the guitarist and backup vocalist for Good Charlotte, an American pop-rock band founded in 1996, will expand his musical repertoire by spinning the latest hits at the Costa Mesa club, and an O.C. visit by Hilton is expected.

Sutra Lounge is famous for a late-night scene that includes a crowded dance floor, “aphrodisiac-inspired menu” and Britney sightings.

Spread out over 10,000 square feet, the restaurant and lounge offers private rooms, comfortable banquettes, VIP areas and a Moroccan-inspired patio.

According to its website, guests can expect everything from an evening of live jazz entertainment or specialty wine dinners to “corks popping off magnums of Cristal or Dom, while seductive beats or hip-hop from top DJs flood the dance floor.”

Tonight’s event brings together two companies with similar visions of how to create the epitome of ambience, atmosphere and fashion for its customers.

RedLotusClothing was founded in 2007 by president and creative director Annie Le, who said she focuses on quality and comfort when she designs her clothes.

“Customers tell me they like that when you put it on, it feels good. It fits well on a lot of different body types, and it’s not overdecorated.”

Le also offers an organic line, so that people can be fashion conscious, she said, without having to compromise their beliefs about the organic movement.

When Sutra asked her to sponsor the Benji Madden event, Le jumped at the chance, because she knew it would be fun, and it was a great opportunity for the designer to get her creations in the hands of the hip O.C. crowd.

Le and/or members of her team will hold court on a stage set up in the club, adding a fun twist and creating a “free-for-all” atmosphere by offering product giveaways to the crowd.

“Benji will be announcing the clothing line, encouraging the crowd to dance, make a lot of noise, do whatever it takes,” to walk off with some of her stuff, Le said.

The product line features clothing for men, women and dogs. That’s right — dogs.

Le said she’s putting together a gift bag for Benji, and wanting to be prepared, there will definitely be one set aside for Hilton that will include a few size small doggie T-shirts.

Le is also putting together extra bags for “other clients” who will be partying at the club’s VIP bottle-service tables.

Clients more than likely will include Benji’s twin brother, Joel, lead vocalist for Good Charlotte, and his fiancée — and Paris’ sidekick and reinstated BFF [best friend forever] — Nicole Richie.

Le, who’s a frequent Sutra-goer, likes the ambience inside, describing it as sophisticated, trendy and fun, and said outside, she especially likes the open areas and the patio.

“I’m confident the evening will be one for the records,” Le said.
