Pop Warner Football sign ups are Wednesday

Huntington Beach Pop Warner Football will have its next sign-up session for its 2008 fall season Wednesday at the Edison Community Center.

Registration for both players and cheerleaders will be between 5 and 9 p.m.

League divisions are as follows (age as of July 31, 2008): Cub (flag football), ages 5-6; Jr. Mighty Mite (ages 7-8); Mighty Mite (ages 8-9); Jr. Pee Wee (ages 8-11); Pee Wee (ages 9-12); Jr. Midget (ages 10-13); Midget (ages 11-15).

All players and cheerleaders, with the exception of those in the Cub Division, must carry a minimum 2.0 GPA in order to participate in the league.

Future registration dates are April 26 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and May 18 (noon to 4 p.m.), both registration dates taking place at Edison High.

Football, cheer sign-ups held on March 27

Huntington Beach Oilers Jr. All-American Football will hold player and cheer sign-ups March 27.

Registration will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. in Room D-1 at Huntington Beach High.

Additional sign-up dates are April 19, May 17 and June 1.
