Dinner, dance to support Marines in Newport Beach

Proceeds from a dinner and dance in Newport Beach this weekend will benefit the 1st Battalion, 1st Marines and the families of service members.
The American Legion Dinner Dance will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Newport Harbor Post 291, 215 15th St.
The event will include talks from 1st Battalion, 1st Marines commanding officer Lt. Col. Tye Wallace and former commanding officer Lt. Col. Jeffrey Conner. The officers will be accompanied by 20 to 25 Marines and their spouses.
Organizers are asking for a donation of $30 for a prime rib dinner. Music will be provided by the Don Ross Band. Call (949) 673-5070 for reservations.
