Aging process study could give secrets in lecture

It isn’t easy getting old, but a UCI lecture hopes to offer some insight into the process.
“How to Get Old: Lessons from 90-year-olds” will discuss the findings of a study that looked at the growing population of 90-year-olds and older at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Irvine Barclay Theater on UCI’s campus.
Claudia Kawas, the Nichols chairwoman in clinical neuroscience at UCI, will lead the discussion about the study on, according to Kawas, the fastest growing segment of the population. Residents of Leisure World and Laguna Woods participated in the study.
The study’s findings will discuss the lifestyles of the elderly as well as life lessons they have learned.
