Senior center to host candidates forum

The Corona del Mar Resident’s Assn. will sponsor a Newport Beach City Council candidates forum from 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 13.
The forum is open to the public and will take place at the Oasis Senior Center, 800 Marguerite Ave. Refreshments will be served. Call BJ Johnson at (949) 721-0132 for more information.
Retired school Supt. Gloria Alkire is challenging incumbent Councilman Steve Rosansky for the District 2 seat. Incumbent Councilman Keith Curry is up against activist Dolores Otting for the District 7 seat. Mayor Ed Selich is unopposed in his reelection bid for the District 5 seat.
