Do your children love Wahoo’s No. 7 Chicken Bowl? Are they always asking to go to Wahoo’s for the Kid’s Bowl? Bring them out to Fashion Island® from 11a.m. to 1p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5. They could be featured in a Wahoo’s Fish Taco print ad.
In support of HomeAid Orange County’s Project Playhouse®, Wahoo’s Fish Taco is inviting loyal “Wahoo’s Kids” to visit the Wahoo’s Xtreme Sports Shack, which is also the 2008 Project Playhouse opportunity drawing playhouse. From 11a.m. to 1p.m., dedicated “Wahoo’s Kids” can have their picture taken in front of the Wahoo’s playhouse and they could be selected to be in one Wahoo’s Fish Taco print ad. Wahoo is also inviting their faithful fans to make a $5 donation to win this whimsical playhouse and help build housing for homeless families.
The 2008 Project Playhouse, presented by Bank of America, is HomeAid Orange County’s signature fundraiser, helping the nearly 20 year old non-profit organization raise funds to build dignified housing where homeless families and individuals can rebuild their lives. Wahoo’s Fish Taco is a strong supporter of HomeAid Orange County and has participated in Project Playhouse for multiple years.
Wahoo’s Xtreme Sports Shack and seven other incredible playhouses are on display at Fashion Island until Oct. 11. On weekends, for a $5 donation per person, visitors can tour both Project Playhouse villages and view all the playhouse interiors through each playhouse’s Dutch doors. The five week long event culminates with a live public auction at Fashion Island on Saturday, Oct. 11. In addition to the auction, the children selected to be in a Wahoo’s Fish Taco print ad will be announced along with the drawing for the opportunity playhouse.
Wahoo’s Xtreme Sports Shack built in partnership with Wahoo’s Fish Taco & Friends and Pulte Homes is a fantastic creation for the young “Xtreme” sports fan. Filled with video games, XBOX-360, 26” Toshiba flat screen television, mini refrigerator, microwave oven and autographed surf memorabilia – just like a big Wahoo’s restaurant.
Project Playhouse debuted in 1992. The unique event has raised more than $5 million and has helped HomeAid Orange County complete 43 housing developments in Orange County for homeless individuals and families. For 17 years, dedicated homebuilders, specialty contractors, architects and designers have donated their talents and resources to create these whimsical playhouses.
