UCI hoop teams to be unveiled tonight at Bren

The UC Irvine men’s and women’s basketball teams will be introduced to the UCI students tonight as part of SHOCKTOBERFEST at approximately 9:30 at the Bren Events Center.
The basketball portion of the event, which includes a series of activities in and around the arena, will feature introductions of the men’s and women’s teams, a battle-of-the-sexes three-point-shooting competition and the annual dunk contest.
Only students with wristbands will be admitted.
Students may pick up wristbands today after 2 p.m. at the Bren Center.
The UCI men are scheduled to play an exhibition game against visiting Cal Poly Pomona Nov. 8 at 7:05 p.m., before opening their regular season at USC on Nov. 15.
The UCI women play a home exhibition game against Cal Poly Pomona on Nov. 1 at noon, before opening the regular season Nov. 14 at New Mexico State.
