Huntington Beach picked up another win in Sea View League play Tuesday when the Oilers defeated visiting Trabuco Hills, 14-4, at SeaCliff Tennis Club.

Roxy Galich and Melissa Markowitz picked up sweeps in singles action and the top team of Laura Kaufman and Helen Nguyen also earned a sweep.

Also in doubles play, the Huntington tandems of Ally Diamond/Saskia Mooy and Stephanie Tran/Andrea Dumas won two of three sets.

Football

Golden West, coming off a bye week, resumes American Mountain Conference action at 6 p.m. Saturday when the Rustlers host San Diego Mesa at Orange Coast College.

Nick Mitchell’s squad hasn’t played since Oct. 4, when they lost in overtime at conference rival Victor Valley, 34-31. Golden West is 1-1 in conference play and 2-3 overall.

San Diego Mesa also is coming off a bye week. The Olympians also are 2-3 overall but have won two straight and began conference play on Oct. 4 with a 42-17 win over San Bernardino Valley.

Women’s Water Polo

Golden West improved to 4-0 by defeating Saddleback, 17-9, Friday.

The Rustlers came up with 17 steals and went seven for eight on man-up situations.

Kamaile Maahunna’alli led all scorers with 10 goals.

Jessica Agnew and Amber McCall each scored twice and Amber Bryan, Lauren Lingle and Melanie Nellor all scored once.

Women’s Soccer

A goal off a corner kick in the 11th minute of the match proved to be the only score Friday, as host Orange Coast College edged Golden West, 1-0.

Veronica Helguerra recorded five saves for the Rustlers, who fell to 4-6-2 overall.
