NEWPORT BEACH — Zach Lucas scored five goals and recorded three steals to lead the Sailors to the nonleague victory Saturday at Harbor’s pool.

Matt Russell scored twice and also contributed with two assists and one steal for Newport Harbor (13-5), ranked No. 5 in CIF Southern Section I.

Jack Yeager led the Sailors in the assists category, setting up three goals, while Chris Craib, Andy Hayes and David Linden helped on defense, grabbing two steals each.

Laguna Beach, ranked No. 4 in CIF Division III, dropped to 9-9.

Newport Harbor returns to Sunset League action Wednesday at 6 p.m., when it plays host to Fountain Valley.
