Clippers’ Rivers surprised anyone noticed how well Chris Paul is playing

Chris Paul was named the Western Conference player of the week after averaging 26 points, 11.3 assists, 4.8 rebounds and two steals from March 16-22, helping the Clippers go 4-0 over that period.
When Clippers Coach Doc Rivers was told of the accomplishment, he laughed.
“I’m actually surprised that anyone noticed,” Rivers said. “He’s been doing this for a month now, and it’s gone unnoticed.”
Paul is the only player in the NBA who is averaging at least 18.5 points, 10 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals a game. He leads the league in assists (10.1) and assists/turnover ratio (4.24).
The Clippers’ superstar point guard, however, wasn’t voted by the fans into the All-Star game, though he was later voted into the game by the coaches as a reserve.
“I don’t care how good you are, it’s still good to be recognized,” Rivers said.
