Baseball: Banning, Carson given a double forfeit

Banning and Carson have been forced to forfeit Tuesday’s Marine League game after benches emptied in the sixth inning of a 0-0 tie and also forfeit Thursday’s scheduled game because of one-game suspensions to players for leaving the dugout.
The losses mean that Narbonne now has a two-game lead over Carson and Banning in the Marine League race. The players also have to take a sportsmanship class online.
“I think it’s a fair judgment,” Banning Coach John Gonzalez said.
